Venus is one of the more familiar faces of the Divine feminine. She is extremely complex. Her inner world incorporates and holds the narratives of many of the goddesses I work with. Her story weaves in with their stories. She is seen primarily as the goddess of love, but her roots tie back to one of the original bridge goddesses, Isis and Lilith. It appears to me when I dive into myth that the goddesses will become any of the variations necessary to stay alive in the human mythos. Venus‘s story appears again and again through the dramas of love and war, death and resurrection.

It is through following mythology and listening to these stories and myths again and again that I begin to recognize recurring archetypes of the feminine and masculine. They appear throughout mythology in different forms, offering us illustrations, clues, and messages that invite us to see our own lives through a more mythical and enchanted lens—and, ultimately, to feel more deeply connected to the divine.
