Cassandra was a Trojan priestess of Athena. Her beauty caught the attention of the god Apollo who in courting her, bestowed her the gift of prophecy. When she would not marry him; Apollo, decided that Cassandra would have the gift of prophecy, yet no one would believe her. In the battle of Troy she foresaw that the gift horse left by the Greeks was filled with invaders, but no one believed her, and thus the fall of Troy. There are those among us whose gift of prophecy, sight, knowing which has been disregarded and even inverted.

To ride a horse well, requires a deeply centered intuitive focus. To ride the mad pace of our times requires a deeply centered intuitive presence. This talisman is to activate the primal presence of truth and the instinct of knowing and where to pull the reins. It is a protector for road trips, an ally for galactic travel.

The Bronze Age White Horse on the hills of Uffington, the mythical Norse horses Árvakr and Alsviôr who pull the Sun, the shapeshifting Celtic Kelpie, and the Horse Kin that I have spoke with, all nudged me while crafting this talisman.
