This Silver Altar dish shimmers in honor of our water kin. An abalone shell is one of the most mystical and elusive finds in the natural world. Yet abalone is now an endangered species. Ecologically, they maintain the ocean habitat by controlling algal density. In California Indigenous foraging, the abalone was precious food and the shells were crafted into elegant adornments.
